Resolute Bay Expedition Services, Qausuittuq Inns North is an expedition base camp hotel facility in Resolute Bay that specializes in catering to North Pole expedition teams.
In 1997, the High Arctic International Explorer Services Ltd facility, which had served the North Pole expeditions since 1977, was purchased by the local Co-op, after Bezal Jusadsons death in 1995 and is now owned by the residents of Resolute Bay.
The expedition business is based now in a new, modern facility located in front of the existing historical buildings and a southern, Ottawa based gear expediting assistance has been added to assist in equipment transfers to Resolute Bay this year.
The new facility has room for 9 expedition members, has a modern kitchen and
has microwaves and refrigerators, wireless internet, in each room as well as washers and dryers on site.
